Need to alter the content of a PDF file? Or do you have a whole bunch of PDFs you need in .doc format quick smart? This is a small free program that could be just what you need. 

The interface is intuitive and easy to use although Free PDF to Word Converter doesn't support drag-and-drop, you have to add each PDF you want to convert through the program. On the plus side it does allow you to convert in batches so no need to do files one at a time, just tell it the range of files you want to change and let the program do the rest for you. 

However this isn't the right program for you if your PDFs contain lots of images - if it's only one or two files and you don't mind tweaking the formatting of the document after conversion then it's okay but if you're facing a big task you may be better off looking elsewhere.

Cons: The format of the document can get a little mixed up after conversion, particularly if there are lots of images are involved

Conclusion: This is a handy little program that's perfect for converting large amounts of text-only PDFs. It's fine converting PDFs with images included as long as you're patient and have time to go through the word document produced and correct any formatting errors.
